ABOUT CRS MATRIX
Built on Experience. Driven by Responsibility.
We’re engineers at heart. But we’ve always believed that good service is about much more than engineering.
Our experience is rooted in Leicester, in heating, property maintenance and the demanding realities of looking after people’s homes. That background has taught us something important: when something goes wrong, people don’t need impressive promises. They need someone who understands the problem, takes responsibility and gets things moving.
Answer the phone. Turn up. Do the job properly. Stand by your word.
It sounds simple. We believe it should be.
We know that every job affects more than the person who instructs us. A landlord has responsibilities to meet. A tenant deserves a safe home. A managing agent needs clear answers and reliable communication. A business needs confidence in the systems it depends upon.
Our role is to take those responsibilities seriously, from the first conversation to the final report and beyond.
Over time, we saw how much harder compliance was becoming: more inspections, more documentation, more deadlines and too many records scattered across emails, filing cabinets and different contractors. We realised that doing good engineering work was only part of the answer. People also needed a better way to see what had happened, what needed attention and what came next.
That experience helped shape the CRS Matrix of today, combining practical engineering, accountable service and digital property records through MyMatrixHub®.
Traditional values. Modern capabilities. Responsibility throughout.
Our Philosophy: Do What You Say You’ll Do.
We don’t measure success simply by how big a business becomes or what it owns. We measure it by the trust it earns.
Trust is built through ordinary things, done consistently: returning a call, arriving when promised, speaking plainly, treating people with respect and following a problem through instead of passing it on.
When someone asks CRS Matrix to help, they’re putting something important in our hands. A landlord is trusting us with compliance responsibilities. An agent is relying on us to look after their client’s interests. A tenant is depending on us to help keep their home safe. A business is asking us to take its operational risks seriously.
Accountability doesn’t end when the engineer leaves the property.
It means recording our findings, explaining the next steps, being honest when something needs further attention and standing behind the work we deliver. It also means acknowledging problems and having difficult conversations when necessary.
We won’t pretend every job is straightforward or that problems never arise. What matters is how we respond when they do.
Be responsive. Be reliable. Be accountable.
Those aren’t complicated ambitions. They’re the fundamentals we believe every customer deserves.
Good service builds trust. Good records protect it.
That belief is also why MyMatrixHub® matters to us. Accountability should be visible: what was inspected, what was identified, what work was completed and what needs to happen next. Clear records give people the information to make better decisions and the confidence to ask the right questions.
Our Evolution: Built Around the Problems Our Customers Face
We didn’t set out to become a technology business. We set out to do a better job for the people who rely on us.
Our background is practical. Heating systems, engineering visits, inspections, repairs and the day-to-day responsibility of keeping properties safe and working. That experience gave us a close view of what landlords and agents actually deal with, not just what the paperwork says they should do.
Over time, customers needed more joined-up support. Gas safety was one responsibility. Electrical inspections another. Then there were remedial works, certificates, access arrangements, recurring checks and the question that comes up again and again: where is the record of what happened?
We could see the same frustration from different sides. Landlords wanted confidence that nothing important was being overlooked. Agents needed clear information they could act on. Tenants needed work organised with care and consideration. Engineers needed accurate property history, not a collection of disconnected notes.
That is what pushed us to think beyond the individual job.
Doing the work properly matters. Being able to demonstrate what was done matters too.
MyMatrixHub® grew from that understanding: a place to bring property compliance information, certificates and work history together so that people can make decisions with better information. It is being developed from real operational experience, with the aim of making compliance clearer and easier to manage over time.
At the same time, our engineering outlook has opened another area of responsibility. Businesses depend on server rooms, power supplies and cooling systems, yet the physical environment behind their technology can be overlooked. Matrix Infrastructure applies the same practical principles to assessing those risks, working alongside the specialists responsible for IT and cooling.
These areas may look different, but the thinking behind them is the same: understand the risk, take responsibility for our part, communicate clearly and leave people better informed.
We haven’t moved away from our roots. We’ve built on them.
Matrix Landlord: Protecting People, Properties and Peace of Mind
Property compliance isn’t just a collection of certificates. It’s a responsibility that affects real people.
A landlord needs to know that essential checks have been arranged and the findings understood. A managing agent needs reliable information to advise their client and organise the next steps. A tenant needs to feel that safety concerns are taken seriously and that visits to their home are handled respectfully.
Our job is to help all three, without losing sight of who is responsible for each decision.
Through CRS Matrix, we provide local gas and electrical services in Leicester and the surrounding area, including Gas Safety checks, EICRs, PAT testing, Legionella risk assessments, boiler servicing, repairs and appropriate remedial work. We explain findings clearly and, where further work is needed, provide proposals that help customers make informed decisions.
But we also know that the job doesn’t end with the certificate. Reports need to be accessible. Recommendations need to be understood. Future checks need attention. And the history of a property shouldn’t disappear when an email is lost or a contractor changes.
That’s why we believe compliance should be managed as an ongoing responsibility, not a series of disconnected appointments.
Our engineering team focuses on doing the work properly. Our digital approach helps make the information around that work easier to find, follow and use.
Matrix Infrastructure: Protecting the Systems Businesses Depend On
A business can have excellent IT support and still be vulnerable to something much more basic: a room that’s too hot, a power supply under strain or backup equipment that hasn’t been properly assessed.
Those are physical engineering problems, but the consequences can reach far beyond the plant room. Lost working time, interrupted services and avoidable disruption affect the people who depend on those systems every day.
That is why we’re developing Matrix Infrastructure.
Our focus is the physical environment supporting smaller business-critical IT installations, particularly server rooms where power, cooling, airflow and resilience deserve closer attention.
We bring an electrical and compliance-led perspective to assessing the environment, identifying concerns and explaining them in language business owners and IT teams can act upon. Our Server Room Resilience Audit approach considers electrical supply and loading, UPS arrangements, cooling and airflow, thermal hotspots and practical risks to continuity. Where specialist design or remedial work is needed, the right expertise and partners matter.
We’re building this service deliberately, drawing on engineering experience and conversations with IT and cooling specialists rather than claiming that one contractor can solve every infrastructure challenge alone.
For us, resilience isn’t about promising that nothing will ever fail. It’s about understanding vulnerabilities, documenting findings and helping people make informed decisions before a small problem becomes a serious interruption.
Different environment. Same principles: responsibility, clear evidence and dependable follow-through.

MyMatrixHub®: Built from Experience. Designed for Clarity.
Every property has a history. The challenge is keeping that history together.
In our engineering work, we’ve seen certificates in one inbox, repair reports in another and important recommendations buried in folders. Yet those records belong to the same property story.
MyMatrixHub® brings compliance records, certificates, inspection information and job history into a connected property record. It helps landlords and agents understand what has happened and what needs attention.
It is not intended to lock customers into CRS Matrix engineers. Landlords may arrange work through CRS Matrix, their agent or their own chosen contractors, while keeping the property record useful.
Our engineering services and MyMatrixHub® are connected, but they serve different purposes.
CRS Matrix provides local gas, electrical and compliance services in Leicester and the surrounding area. MyMatrixHub® is a digital property compliance platform for landlords and agents across the UK.
We continue to develop it around practical needs, not technology for its own sake. Our aim is clearer records, better-informed decisions and less time spent searching for answers.
Property History Matters.
