Having upgraded my car recently to an electric one, and wanting to maximise my home charging as best I could, I researched charger models, available market tariffs and then I needed an installer.

CRS Electrical came up in my search as a local provider to me and I spoke at length with Steve about the best way to approach this.

I’m a massive technology fan and I knew that using the Intelligent Octopus Go plan, coupled with the Ohme Pro charger, would allow me to charge not only during the cheap off peak times but also at other times of the day based on the load on the national grid. The tariff and the charger work out all the timings with the car and its fully automated. This also means that the feed to the house whilst the car is charging is also at that low rate so being able push washing, drying, using the dishwasher etc to those times would create me savings.

Steve carried out the installation, making sure that the cable length from charger to car was long enough, carrying out capacity checks on the house and more, and I was up and running quickly.

Excellent service from Steve and I’m already seeing savings across my utility bills every month, plus…my fuel bill for the car!

It is worth mentioning that CRS were slightly cheaper than others that I received quotes from but the knowledge and consultation was the clincher.
