How much is a boiler service with CRS Matrix?
Our standard boiler service is £120 including VAT. If an engineer identifies work beyond the service, we explain the findings and provide a separate recommendation or quotation as appropriate.
Is a boiler service the same as a Gas Safety Certificate (CP12)?
No. A boiler service focuses on maintenance and checks in line with the manufacturer’s instructions. A landlord’s gas safety inspection addresses statutory gas safety requirements. One does not automatically replace the other.
Can I book a boiler service with my landlord Gas Safety Certificate?
Yes. CRS Matrix offers a combined Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) and boiler service for £144 including VAT when carried out together at the same property. This is £96 less than the two standalone prices of £120 each.
Is an annual boiler service a legal requirement for homeowners?
Homeowners do not generally have a blanket legal requirement to service their own boiler annually, but regular maintenance is strongly recommended. Manufacturer warranty terms may also specify servicing intervals.
Do landlords have to service the boiler every year?
Landlords must meet their gas safety and maintenance duties. An annual gas safety check is a distinct requirement from routine boiler servicing. Servicing should follow the manufacturer’s instructions and help keep the appliance in a safe working condition.
What does a boiler service include?
